IMMUNITY is a rabbit supplement that supports performance, stamina, stress
reduction, muscle recovery, mental focus and everyday immunity for rabbits.
IMMUNITY for Rabbits is very unique to the industry. The active
ingredient is called Dimethylglycine or DMG which is a substance that
has been extensively studied for its positive impact on performance,
the immune system, cardiovascular system and liver.
WHAT IS DMG (N,N DIMETHYLGLYCINE) - HOW DOES IT HELP YOUR RABBIT?
DMG is a derivative of the amino acid glycine. It is a substance that
humans and rabbits produce naturally in small amounts. DMG is
found in a major metabolic pathway in the cell and is often times
referred to as a metabolic enhancer.
A metabolic enhancer is a substance that a rabbit uses to metabolize
a variety substances. As a metabolic enhancer, DMG supports the production
of enzymes, hormones, antibodies, ATP, and neurotransmitters
which benefits the rabbit's immune system, reduces lactic acid level, improves
metabolism, optimizes energy levels and modulates the immune system
for a healthier rabbit. It works in a way that prevents stress from
throwing a rabbit out of balance. Research over the last 30 years has
shown and continues to show that DMG supports many processes that
affect immune system function.
IMMUNITY ENHANCES RABBIT CARE - SUPPORTS PERFORMANCE - PLUS:
- Immune Response
DMG has been shown to support immune response, as reported
in two published studies. A healthy immune response is extremely
beneficial to the competitive or active rabbit exposed to frequent
rabbit-to-rabbit contact.
- Cardiovascular Health for Rabbits
DMG acts as an antioxidant, supports circulation and the production
of ATP and energy molecule found within the mitochondria of heart
cells. It also supports heart tissue oxygenation.
- Liver Support
The liver of rabbits depends on a process called methylation to perform the
numerous enzymatic reactions required to detoxify every drug and
foreign substance that the rabbit is exposed to. DMG or Dimethylglycine
“donates” methyl groups needed to promote methylation for
liver detoxification. These methyl groups are also used to support
the production of other substances such as SAMe and antioxidants
important to liver detoxification.
- Performance and Recovery
DMG improves oxygen utilization in rabbits. It reduces lactic acid build up and
shortens recovery time after strenuous exercise. Research and
studies have shown that DMG boosts cellular energy levels and
counters the effects of muscle fatigue thereby shortening recovery
time after strenuous exercise.
- Focus and Concentration
When rabbits experience anxiety it tends to increase lactic acid
levels, which can affect brain chemistry. Athletes have reported
that DMG improved their focus and concentration as well as overall
performance.
- Stress Reduction for Rabbits
DMG helps a rabbit recover from the stress of oxygen debt. In
stressful situations lactic acid levels increase in the blood as a
result of impaired oxygen availability. DMG increases oxygen
utilization and decreases lactic acid build-up in the blood, thus
reducing cramping and muscle fatigue.
